| Classes: EDC Dance Studio Inc. offers exotic dance and pole dancing classes to everyday women who are 18 & over. Our classes focus on 4 major areas confidence building, fitness, sexual enhancement, fun and overall empowerment. Our classes are offered in 4 week courses that move from beginner, intermediate to advance levels. We also offer a 1hr intro to pole and a 2hr introductory class that will give you a full complete sample of everything we offer, 2hr intensive workshops for students who can not commit to a 4 week courses and drop-in classes for students who have conflicting schedules. There are 8-16 students in our exotic dance and pole dancing classes. Our classes are taught in our comfortable and beautiful 3000sq ft studio in midtown Manhattan in New York, New York. We also offer classes to couples and to the gay and lesbian community.To register for a introductory, 4wk course, 2hr intensive workshop or drop-in class you must pay the full amount for the class(es) of your choice for us to secure a space for you.
Private Lessons: EDC Dance Studio Inc. offers private exotic dance and pole dancing lessons for individuals, couples and small groups of 4-6 students. Our private lessons are a great way to get the one-on one attention you need to focus on our dynamic technique. Private lessons are also great for current students to improve their technique and for intensive training . We offer 1Hr. & 2Hr. Lessons and individual, couple and group lesson packages. Our 1 Hr lessons start with 15mins of stretches and core strength conditioning and our 2hr. Lessons consist of starting with 20mins of stretches and core strength conditioning the remainder of the lesson is customized to focus on the specific area of the clients preference. Please be aware that private lessons are limited per week. So try to book your lesson a head of time. We do not do one-on-one in home private lessons! Book A Lesson-You can book a private lesson as early as (2) months in advance. To secure your private lesson you must make your payment in full. Once your payment is made your space is completely secured! You can only book up to 2 hours at a time due to the high level of request for private lessons and the overwhelming amount of classes at our studio! Please note that payment for private lessons are only good for the exact date(s) of the lesson you scheduled and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Private lesson packages must be used within 6 months of pruchase. You are required to give us 24 hr. advanced notice in order to reschedule or you will lose your payment.
Registration: You can register for a class as early as (1) month in advance. Note*(It is best to register and pay for your class (es) in advance as early as possible to assure a secure space in the class being that there is only 8-16 students in exotic dance and pole dancing classes and classes do fill up very fast. You can register online, over the phone or at our dance studio. To be fully registered for a class you must have made payment in full not just submit a written or online registration form. Please note that payment for classes are only good for the course in which you paid for that month or day not for future courses.
Forms Of Payment: We accept all major credit cards(Amex, Visa, Master Card & Discover)over the phone, online and at the studio. Please note that all online credit card transactions will be charged N.Y. sales tax of 8.375%.We also accept cash, money orders and certified checks(No Personal Checks). All money orders and certified checks must be made out to EDC Dance Studio Inc. Please note that your space will not be secured in the class of your choice until we have received your payment in full. If you paid for a class and do not show up there is no refund for any monies paid.
Privacy: EDC Dance Studio does not allow spectators during classes only paying students are allowed to attend. There is absolutely no note taking of any of dance techniques taught, videotaping or picture taking at EDC Dance Studio! Cameras and Video Cameras are not allowed on premises. If you are caught video taping your camera will be confiscated and your footage will be deleted. If you refuse to give us your video camera you will be asked to leave the class and/or course without a refund of any monies paid. EDC Dance Studio does offer the service of videography and photography for our students who may want to do a photography or videography session however there is a additional cost ask about our packages for this service!
Arrival & Departure Policy: We ask that all students who will be taking any type of class/course with us for the first time please arrive to our studio at least 15-20 minutes before your class schedule start time to complete your registration form, sign your class policy, receive photo I.D. and any other paperwork necessary that must be completed before you start your class. Please note if you arrive late on the first day of class you will still have to complete this process before you start the class. We ask all students who attend their classes on a weekly schedule show consideration to their fellow students and arrive a few minutes prior to your class scheduled start time. There is a 10 minutes grace period for all classes afterward we will not allow you to participate in the class. You will be marked absent and will have to schedule a make-up class. (See absent policy below) You may depart at any time once the class has started but you cannot make up the class time should you choose to depart early. Class Cards: EDC Dance Studio Inc offers class cards for students who want to purchase a bundle of drop-in-classes at a discounted rate. Class cards give you the flexibility to take as many drop-in-classes that you choose to purchase at your leisure. We have a 5 class card that expires within 45 days, 10 class card that expires within 60 days and 20 class card that expires within 90 days from the date of purchase. All class cards go into effect on the date of purchase not the first date in which you use it. Class cards are non-refundable and non-transferable. Class cards are not for an specific type of drop-in-classes but for any and all classes listed below that is a drop-in-class. Please note that any drop-in-classes can be canceled and/or rescheduled due to low registrants(must have a minimum of 6 students for all drop-in classes), last minute student cancellations, bad weather, an act of god(ex.earthquake) or emergency evacution procedures(ex, fire alarm,etc) or even discontinued at any point and time. In the event that this does happen you will not receive a refund, credit or transfer. If you call to reserve a space in any drop-in-class and we place you on the reservation list and you do not show up you will lose the class.
Absent Policy: If you are going to be absent you must call 24 hrs in advance to inform us and we will try to reschedule you to the same type of class during the same week just on another day if there is space availability. In case there is no space available you will be placed on a wait list and charged accordingly for a make-up class. If you are absent and you do not call or show up for class you will be marked absent and will lose that class. To make-up the class you will have to schedule and pay for a make-up class. Make-Up Policy: If you are going to be absent you must call 24 hrs in advance to inform us and we will try to reschedule you to the same type of class during the same week just on another day if there is space availability. In case there is no space available you will be placed on a wait list and charged accordingly for a make-up class. Make-Up classes are $30.00 for 1Hour class and $60.00 for a 2Hr class. Please note that all make-up classes must be scheduled and completed 30 days from the date of the class you missed. If for any reason you choose not to make-up any classes that you missed you will not be able to move on to the next level in the course that you are registered in until those make-up classes have been completed. Refund & Cancellation Policy: All customers can get a 50% refund up to 2 weeks prior to their class scheduled start date. A refund of 50% of your payment will be returned within 30 days and the other 50% will be kept for administrative services. Anytime thereafter there is no refund. In the event you wish to request a refund of any money paid for whatever reason, you must submit an email to rcd@exoticdancecentral.com. All refund request emails will be answered within 72 hours. The email must include the name of class(es), level, date and time of class(es) and reason for refund request. Please note that all refund request are subject to be granted or denied at the sole discretion of EDC Dance Studio Inc. Corporate office. However with 2 weeks prior notice of your class start date you can switch to the same type of class on or at a later date. Please note you can switch to another type of class other than what you paid for if there is space available however you will have to pay any additional cost that may apply to that class. If you paid for a class and you do not come in on the day of the class you will not receive a refund of any monies paid or credit for make-up class. Payments are only good for the day or monthly course in which your paid for and will not be credited for another day or month. Note* We do not refund money if you can not keep up with the class, if your schedule changes or if you just decide to change your mind about taking the class before or after you have already started for whatever reason! Please make sure that you choose classes wisely and that it does not conflict with your schedule. Make sure that participating in our classes is something that you truly want to do and that it is taken seriously. Note* Class scheduled dates may change due to low registrants(not meeting quota of minimum 6 or more students), natural life circumstances ex.(conflicting schedules, sickness, injury or family deaths of instructors, staff, etc), an act of terrorism or act of god ex.(earthquake, storms, etc), emergency evacution procedures (ex, fire alarm,etc). If for any reasons stipulated classes have to be cancelled and rescheduled you will not receive a refund of any money however you will receive a credit toward classes or other services provided by our company EDC Dance Studio Inc. or its affiliates. Footwear(Goddess, Pole Goddess, Exotic Video Vixen & LapSinsations Courses (6”Stilleto Heels w/Ankle Strap)Please Note*Bare Feet or Ballet Slippers For Pole Dynamics, Pole Perfections, Pole Dance Circuit ,Hand Towel(For All Pole Dancing Classes)Mandatory, Dry Hands(For Pole Dancing Classes)Optional Please Note*That bare arms and legs are needed for pole dancing to be effective. Damages: If any damages are caused by you to the premises of EDC Dance Studio Inc. you will be held accountable and charged accordingly with proper invoice.
Health Policy: Students who become injured or ill before or during classes to the point where they can not continue to participate in their class(es) may apply for a medical leave for their unused class(es) to be credited toward a future class or course to be used within six months provided your class or course has been paid for in full. If you become pregnant or are pregnant you need medical clearance from your physician to begin or continue classes. In either of these matters you must provide EDC Dance Studio with a written note from your physician describing your injury, illness or pregnancy status, relevant date of injury/illness/pregnancy status and treatment you must undergo. Along with this you must sign out of class 48 hours after such class was scheduled. Failure to contact EDC Dance Studio within 48 hours after missing class due to said injury, illness or pregnancy status will cause forfeiture of the possibility for medical leave of your unused classes. Any request submitted for medical leave may be granted or denied at EDC Dance Studio’s sole discretion . In order to return to class a written release from your physician stating your ability to resume classes will be required. Anyone who has had a recent major surgery(3-6months)(ex. Back, Head, Shoulder, Eyes, Leg, Ankle, Knee, Arm, etc) with or with out bandages on any part of their body can not participate in any exotic dance/pole dancing class(es) without brining a note from your physician stating that it is ok for you to participate in physical activity. Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure: By signing below, you understand and agree that all class content, including but not limited to teaching method, curriculum, discussions, written materials, technique, movements, dance steps, routines, choreography and scenery(the “Proprietary) are the property of EDC Dance Studio Inc. and constitute confidential and proprietary business information and trade secrets, the unauthorized disclosure of which will irreparably harm EDC Dance Studio Inc. Furthermore you agree that in exchange for EDC Dance Studio Inc. agreeing to take you on as a student, you agree to keep the Proprietary Information confidential and that you will not disclose the Proprietary Information to anyone without the prior written consent of EDC Dance Studio Inc. You also agree that you will not teach to any third party any of the Proprietary Information, and that you will refer any person wishing to learn any of the Proprietary Information to EDC Dance Studio Inc. Finally you agree that you will not use the Proprietary Information for the purpose of soliciting any students or employees of EDC Dance Studio Inc. or to otherwise compete with EDC Dance Studio Inc.
